Leaving Puerto Escondido to sail to La Paz
                                                          11/03/2015
To start out we made a short 3nm sail to Honeymoon Cove on the Northwest side of Isla Danzante ,
With our good friends from sv Shakedown, Hal and Nancy. We will be sailing with them all the way to La Paz together. It will be the first time sailing with another boat for both of us.

                                         Honeymoon Cove

We left Honeymoon Cove at 10;00am to sail 21nm to Bahia Aqua Verde. We arrived at 2:00 pm. A total of about 4 hours.
The weather was beautiful 80 degrees and lot´s of friends we had met back  in Puerto Escondido. We stayed in Bahia Aqua Verde for 5 days. We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings aboard mv "Sand n Barnacles with our good friends Sandy and Barney, Hal and Nancy and the local caretaker Teo Jose. It was a wonderful meal and good time.

My Crevalle Jack
The next day Sandy and I went fishing in her dingy and I caught a Crevalle Jack. Sandy then showed me how to paint the fish, make a print on a T-shirt. It was great fun.  Then made fish tacos  from it.
We love to walk in this cute little town, even bought some goats cheese. The animals all walk around free. Pigs under the date palms, goats in the mountains and even cattle roaming free what a place.

San Everisto

On Saturday 11/28/15 we left Bahia Aqua Verde 6:30am and arrived in San Everisto at 2:30pm.
It was blowing 25 to 26 kts off our starboard quarter. Sailed for  8 hours, caught 2 skip jack tunas but threw  them back. We went to dinner at Lupe and Maggi Mae´s restaurant, delicious. From 11/28 to 12/3/2015 very windy non stop for 6 days winds up to  35kts,  all day and all night, very rolly. There are 8 boats here waiting out the wind storm you know the "Northerlies". There was also a late hurricane named "Sandra" that diminished to a tropical depression hit Cabo, that is contributing to our weather. On 12/2/2015 we all went to the palapa restaurant where there was a children s birthday party and a impromptu  band. Eric played his electric drums Frans played his electric guitar and 2 other acoustic guitars. 50 people attended lots of kids and a pinata.

On 12/3/2015 we left at 12 noon the wind was supposed to have come down but did not. We had
20 to 30 kts,4 to 5f ft sea´s. Lucky for  us it was going to be a short sail only 9nm. We arrived at Isla
San Francisco at 1:30 pm. We tucked up into the crescent shaped main bay, and only 6 boats including us. We like to go ashore looking for shells. On Friday the 4th of Dec. We went snorkeling with Hal and Nancy. The water was 76 degrees and 85 in the shade. Lots of fish, bump head parrot fish, pipe fish balloon fish just to mention a few. And when we were dinging back to our boat we see Lupe from San Everisto spear fishing for his restaurant and later he came by a gave us a beautiful yellow, orange and blue parrot fish and then a little later he brought our friends on "Shakedown" a green parrot fish. It was very nice of him and we had fantastic sushi dinner. And I made a print of it on a T shirt of it.

Isla Caleta Partida

On Saturday the 5th we departed Isla San Fransisco to sail 19nm  to Isla Caleta Partida. We left at 8:00am 4kts of wind 1 to 2ft  sea´s sunny and warm a beautiful day of sailing. We arrived at 12:40pm. Beautiful aqua colored water and fish camps of the locals. In the evening we had tons of  "Moblia´s" (small mante rays) jumping all around our boat what a show.
We left Isla Caleta Partida at 8:45 for a 21nm sail  back to La Paz on 12/7/2015 and arrived at  2:30pm. Well that all for now will keep trying to catch up, next will  be Christmas. Adios Family and friends
